Responsibilities

As a Commercial Trucking Insurance Agent, you will be responsible for cultivating new business relationships and guiding clients through the process of selecting the right insurance coverage for their needs. You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients understand their options and making well-informed decisions to protect their assets and operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate leads within the commercial trucking industry through various channels including our carrier database and ongoing marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to assess client risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance coverage plans.
  • Educate clients on insurance options, policies, terms, and conditions, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their coverage.
  • Customize insurance solutions to match the unique needs of each client, taking into account fleet size, cargo type, routes, and other relevant factors.
  • Prepare and present competitive insurance quotes to clients, explaining the benefits and features of different plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, policy details, and interactions in our CRM system.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes that may impact insurance requirements for trucking companies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in commercial insurance, preferably within the trucking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proven track record of sales and client relationship management.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to achieving sales targets and goals.
